_Gerdau is currently seeking an entry level _Production Helper_ for its Jackson, TN facility._
Responsibilities:
This position will assist with the various tasks associated with the steel making process. Included among the tasks are working with plant equipment, forklift operation, inspections, machine operation / production, shipping / warehousing, crane operation and other duties as assigned while working in compliance with all safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum education requirement of HS Diploma / GED.

years of full time work experience in heavy manufacturing or agricultural setting
Required to have the ability to work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule, which includes days, nights, and weekends.
Experience should include the following: forklift, machine operation/ production, shipping / warehousing, and / or crane operation.
The ability to perform a variety of tasks and be compliant with all safety regulations including wearing PPE at all times within the mill.
Requires working in a heavy industrial and physically demanding environment that involves working around extreme temperatures and includes extensive lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, working at heights, walking, standing, and stooping.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug test and criminal background check.
