No Under the direction of the Controller, the position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Colleges student account receivables and collection efforts via implementing policies and procedures related to billing activities including tuition and fees while promoting and supporting a highly collaborative and engaged service-oriented culture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises cashier functions including the depositing and recording of all funds collected.
Coordinates the preparation of reports and audits.
Analyze financial data and prepare repots for management.
Maintains accurate and compliant federal and state regulations governing Title IV, IRS required filings such as the 1098T and other forms of aid.
Coordinates the development, implementation, and maintenance of the interaction between the student system and the financial accounting system.
Work closely and collaboratively with departments, colleges, schools, Financial Aid, Student Services, Registrar, and other stakeholders to manage the student accounts process.
Attends staff meetings, trainings, and safety education.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
Complete special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related fields.
Experience managing a similar department at a college or university; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the necessary knowledge skills and abilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to prepare correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to perform basic mathematic functions.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard business machines, such as a computer and the job related software, a keyboard, calculator, telephone, FAX, photocopier, shredder, etc.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
