SECTION 8 HCV ADMISSION & OCCUPANCY SPECIALIST (Full Time) BRIEF
Job Description:
The purpose of this job is to perform functions relating to the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program application process, admission, income verification, issuance of vouchers, conduct briefings, continued occupancy, and interim rent changes under the direct supervision of the Director of Rental Assistance.
The job also requires counseling with clients concerning their rights and obligations.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
High School Diploma with proficiency in use of computer and calculator with two years of paid office experience required (or related); or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
Above average clerical skills, business school training, aptitude for working with figures, precise and disciplined work habits, ability to meet and deal effectively with persons from diverse economic, social, and ethnic backgrounds.
Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver's License.
If selected, must pass a physical examination and drug screen by our designated physician.
Must be a resident of Madison County within six months of employment.
DESIRED ADDITIONAL
Qualifications:
Experience in the use of computers and software applications including MS Word, and MS Excel a plus.
Knowledge of office practices, record keeping, office machines, and ability to use tact, discretion, and courtesy in dealing with residents.
SALARY:
$18.
