Individuals in this position are primarily responsible for data entry of information as it related to patient and client.
The Data Entry Rep III (DER III) is responsible for data entry within the Specimen Processing Department.
This position requires a data entry background.
Functions performed may include but are not limited to determining and verifying client codes and additional tests and entering information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
All functions must be performed accurately and in a timely manner.
Job complexity requires solid organizational skills and the ability to transcribe/determine appropriate order codes and account numbers.
This position is critical to quality for customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates an ability to learn and perform the job duties assigned to the DER III by excelling in all areas of Data Entry Rep II with understanding of how all the functions in Specimen Processing fit together Exercises independent judgment Data entry of all required information that appears on requisitions Meets standards for production and accuracy - 116% productivity rate Maintain Compliance and HIPAA regulations at all times Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to meet quality and production standards Must be detail-oriented with independent work habits Demonstrates an understanding of the compliance policies related to Specimen Processing Performs other duties as assigned

Experience:
2-3 years prior data entry experience in a high-speed environment, or 1-2 years as a Data Entry Rep II Preferred Work
Experience:
Previous experience in a production environment preferred Physical and Mental Requirements:
Able to sit for long periods Ability to visually interpret information Knowledge:
N/A Skills:
Ability to key a minimum of 8,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour with minimal errors Adheres to Quest Diagnostics core values, safety, confidentiality, and compliance policies and procedures Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Communicates effectively and is cooperative with all levels of staff Maintains composure while working under pressure Keeps work area neat and clean Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills that foster a positive environment Demonstrates flexibility and ability to adapt to change EDUCATION High School Diploma or Equivalent(Required) LICENSECERTIFICATIONS.
