Business Office Manager position general purpose:
- Coordinate, supervise, direct and conduct the whole spectrum of the office functions under the Administrator's direction according to the well known accounting practices.

In other words, the following list of Business Office Manager position duties is required to comply with:
- Generate and submit detailed reports within the set deadline in strict accordance with the Administration rules.
- Accumulate and uphold, in a timely and well organized manner, essential statistics regarding the discharges, admissions, transfers, deaths and everyday census of residents of a facility.
- Accomplish and submit monthly resident billings for the facility services rendered.
- Take responsibility for monthly Medicare, Medicaid and the whole range of insurance billings as well as timely follow-up with delinquent payments.
- Coordinate and monitor the accounts receivable collection process.
- Receive, examine and submit the whole range of required documentation in order to bill the third party payers as it is required by the company / program guidelines.
- Maintain facility financial records including accounts receivable, cash receipts, payroll journal, cash disbursements, accounts payable and general ledger as needed.
- Take part in the department seminars, head meetings and workshops in order to always stay updated on the freshest knowledge of of State and Federal laws and regulations related to the bookkeeping functions.
- Take responsibility for ensuring routine bank deposits are made.
- Be responsible for reconciling all facility checking accounts and cash.
- Make certain that resident trust is accurately and appropriately recorded.
- Perform and accurate and safe accounting of the customer's trust funds including quarterly statements and monthly reconciliation to the responsible parties. Provide everyday reconciliation of petty cash for the Patient Trust Fund.
- Contribute to the resident admission process by giving detailed explanations of the facility's payment terms, rates and billing cycle, including collecting the advance payment of the first month (upon admission).
- Direct and coordinate the other business office clerical personnel.
The other duties of the Business Office Manager position:
- Be aware of Exposure Control Plan, Standard Precautions, Evacuation Procedures, Fire Drill and know how to operate the info.
- Participate in the in-service educational programs to be able to comply with the educational requirements of the facility.
- Keep facility and resident information / records 100% confidential.
- Protect facility residents from abuse, ill-treatment and neglect.
- Protect the facility residents' personal property.
- Handle the other routine requirements as required by the administrator or supervisor.
Requirement
Minimum Business Office Manager position requirements:
- Detail oriented and highly organized in the process of work.
- Degree in Business area OR professional experience in health care industry.
- Skills in Office Management desired.
- Exceptional communication skills with solid patience and brilliant self-discipline.
- Complete all work tasks within the deadline, on the basis of the demand requirements.
- Real caring for and passion about nursing the elderly and disabled individuals in a facility.
- Work in a strict accordance with the Facility Policies and Residents' Rights and Procedures.
- Cope with the other typical duties mentioned above.
Education
Degree in Business area OR professional experience in health care industry.
